About Hickory Lake

People always ask us "what's the lake like?" so we'll try to describe it here for you. But of course, you'll have to experience it for yourself!

Hickory Lake is located on the Ripple River chain of lakes between Pine Lake and Spirit Lake.

The lake is 197 acres. It has depths of 32 feet and the water is clear to 10 feet.

It is a great fishing lake. It is stocked every two years with walleye by the DNR and northerns, bass,  crappies, and sunfish are plentiful.

There is canoe access to Pine and Spirit Lakes. People also ski and tube on the lake.

Access to the lake is limited to the campground or private owners on approximately half of the lakeshore. A large portion of the lakeshore is Minnesota state land and is undeveloped.
